DBHS Girls Golf Finishes 3rd In California --
Tuesday, November 19, 2019, our Girls Golf Team’s season finally came to a close. The Lady Brahmas went to the famous Poppy Hills golf course and had a great round of golf at the CIF State Championships!
The scenery was very beautiful and the wind very cold. The Brahmas had the early tee time of 7:30 and got off to a slow start. They played well the rest of the round and finished very strong, beating the home town team Granite Bay (389) in the last holes.
The second group of teams played behind. Palo Alto (377) had a great day and won the state title. It was the first time in history that a north team won. Troy finished second with a 385. Just one stroke away, Diamond Bar Girls Golf shot a 386 and finished 3rd. It was the second time in a row the Brahmas made state finals. The Diamond Bar Girls Golf Team has made the State Finals 5 times since 2012!
In the individual competition, Senior Angelica Kusnowo had another great round to finish her great career at Diamond Bar High School.
Angelica shot one over par and finished 5th in California! Angelica will play golf next year at St. John’s University in New York on a golf scholarship.
Our legendary captain Angelica has been on 4 CIF Championship teams and been to the state semifinals 4 times. Thank you for a great season Brahmas!
