Brahma Tech Academy celebrated another successful internship year at their annual Internship Fair this week. Over 50 Brahma Tech seniors presented their summer internship experiences and accomplishments on January 13 and 14. Brahma Tech students begin preparing for a summer internship from the moment they start high school. Students in the program prepare a 4 year plan, take courses in STEM fields, participate in extracurricular activities, and attend after school workshops with the hopes of getting into one of the highly coveted internships. Internships range from architecture, engineering, health fields, research programs, and much more. An internship provides the workplace experience and college transition high school students don’t often get in the classroom.
The Internship Fair also offers valuable information to our juniors as they begin their internship search. This is the perfect opportunity for juniors to obtain contact information and learn more about different internships before they apply. They can interview seniors and gain insight on the company or program such as the application and interview process. Additionally, the fair gives freshmen and sophomores in the program a chance to see what they can aspire to achieve as upperclassmen and what it takes to get there.
