What a weekend at USA Nationals for our Song Program. Our goal all year long was to qualify for Sunday Finals, we wanted them to “say our name”. Saturday we ACHIEVED our goal, we qualified 5th for the finals, they only took the top 6 of 18 schools. We were elated, we had reached our goal. Then on Sunday, and we SHOWED OUT! We moved up one spot and took 4th in finals. We were the only change in the top 6! Our Athletes worked so so hard. Hard work always pays off, period. We want to thank our amazing coaches, Graci and Leilah for their dedication and passion. Their encouragement and expertise. Thank you ladies, we would not even have a program without you. A BIG and MASSIVE thank you to our amazing choreographer Marrissa Maizland! Words can’t express how thankful we are 🙂. Truly. Thank you for everything. THANK YOU. And of course we have to thank our Song Families. For their endless support and beyond countless hours. You have been with us from day 1. There is so much positivity and support from our families. THANK YOU. This weekend, at Nationals was a game changer for our Program PERIOD. WHAT A TOTAL SUCCESS! Lastly, while this weekend was the culmination of last year’s goal, to make it to Day 2, and we are all overjoyed, it is just one step towards the larger goal. Plans and schedules have already been set for what is next. 🙂. We will take a few days to rest and enjoy this moment. But YOU KNOW our Athletes will be back at it, pushing, working, striving TOGETHER. But today is a celebration. Today is a tip of the cap for a job well done. To all of our Song Athletes, our coaches, and our Song Families all I can say is DB SONG IS 💣! We did it! You made your community and your school proud. You represented DBHS to the fullest.
