Raytheon Engineering Competition Applications Due @ 3 PM

As part of the local high school outreach event, Raytheon is hosting an engineering event for students during the engineering week of February. The students will participate with Raytheon engineers as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a competitive event involving engineering design and construction. Trophies will be awarded to the winning teams, along with individual medals.

For students that are interested in science or engineering as a career, this event could help provide the drive to pursue that path.

Previous years events:

2009 – build a water powered generator (third place)
2008 – build and race a hover craft from a leaf blower (first place)
2007 – build a transistor radio from office supplies (first place)

Brahma Tech is sending a team of one teacher and three students. ONLY Brahma Tech students can participate. To qualify you must complete and submit this application to Mrs. Wan in room 206 by 3 p.m. on February 10th. Finalists will be announced 2/11/10.
