Concert Benefits Diamond Bar Music Programs By Featuring Local Young Musicians

     On March 28, 2010, the Diamond Bar Community Foundation will host Community Spotlight on the Arts at Mount San Antonio Community College (Mt. SAC) in Walnut, California. The concert will feature soloists and chamber ensembles made up of the talented young musicians from the City of Diamond Bar, and proceeds will benefit the music programs at Diamond Bar High School, Diamond Ranch High School, and Pacific Crest Drum and Bugle Corps.

     “Diamond Bar’s schools have always been leaders in music education,” said Community Foundation member Stuart Pompel. “Last year’s inaugural benefit concert was such a success, and we are looking forward to supporting these great music programs again in 2010!” The musicians will be primarily high school students, and will come from Diamond Bar High School, under the direction of Steve Acciani, and Diamond Ranch High School, under the direction of Phillip Ruiz.

The concert takes place at Mt. SAC’s Sophia B. Clarke Theater from 2 PM – 4 PM on Sunday, March 28, 2010. Tickets are $25. Tickets available through the Mt. SAC Box Office by calling 909-468-4050 and online at www.performingarts.mtsac.edu.
