CONDUCT AT PROM

 

1.      Prom will be held from 7:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. at the Nixon Library in Yorba Linda.

 

2.      Your date may be a DBHS student, a guest from another school, or an older guest who is a non-student with a valid date pass.

 

3.      DBHS students must have a valid school ID and guests must have a valid school ID or valid driver’s license in order to attend the dance.  There is no need to bring the bid to enter the dance.

 

4.      Promcoming attendees must clear all bills through finance before buying a bid.

 

5.      All students and guests: No alcoholic beverages, drugs, weapons, or tobacco are permitted.  Students and guests may not be under the influence.  All guests are subject to random breathalyzer checks.

 

6.      Administration, faculty and campus peace officers will be in attendance to ensure that proper conduct is maintained, along with facility security. 

 

7.      No student/guest will be permitted into the dance after 8:30 p.m. Once you leave the building, you have permanently left the dance.

 

8.      All students and guests must observe all DBHS rules and regulations and dress code.  Inappropriate dancing that emulates/insinuates sexual activity (i.e., freaking, etc.) is prohibited.  Bracelets will be distributed again this year.  Your bracelet will be removed as a first warning.  If you continue to disregard dance rules, you will be asked to leave the event, with no refund.

 

9.      Parking is free.

 

10.  Females should wear appropriate dresses and males should wear a tie and jacket. Bare feet, tennis shoes, flip flops and slippers are not acceptable footwear.  Students dressed inappropriately will not be allowed to enter the dance and will not receive a refund.

 

11.  Violation of any of these rules will result in removal from the dance without a refund.

 

12. Students are encouraged not to bring valuables to the dance.  Keep personal belongings with you at all times.  Do not leave purses or cameras unattended.

 

13.  If you are more than 30 minutes late being picked up from Prom, you will not be able to attend the next formal dance.
