To help make the transition from middle school to Diamond Bar High School as smooth as possible, our guidance staff and academic deans will be meeting with the students at the middle schools on Wednesday, March 19th (at Chaparral) and Thursday, March 20th (at South Pointe). On these days, we will review the registration process, class choices and graduation requirements. We will collect the pre-registration forms the following week: South Pointe, March 26 and Chaparral, April 9 and 10, 2014.
There will be an orientation that includes a chance to meet and hear from your child’s Grade Level Coordinator, the Academic Deans and the Administration. The Orientation will be held in the Diamond Bar High School Gym at 7:00 p.m.,on Thursday, March 20, 2014. All parents of incoming freshmen are encouraged to attend.
Please take the time to carefully read all the registration materials given to your child. The pre-registration form needs to be filled out andSIGNED BY A PARENT. Our pre-registration counts determine which classes are offered in the fall, so be sure to discuss the classes before you make your selection. Placement in academic classes will be based on recommendations from the middle school teachers and student test scores.
