FLASHBACK (early 1980s): All stadiums start as a patch of dirt. Diamond Bar High's stadium was built on a hill that overlooked the scenic valley leading into Brea. It started as a grass field with a dirt track and was later updated with artificial turf and running surface. After the passing of our first principal, it was named the Walt Holmes Memorial Stadium, housing Elfelt Field.
