Brahma Nation,

We wanted to share a quick update on our amazing 23-24 Winter Sports teams.  All of our teams have wrapped up the regular season and it is on to CIF competition!  If you see any of these athletes, please wish them luck as they prepare to travel far and wide to show the rest of CIF what we are made of!

Girls Soccer

Our team has completed an injury riddled season that was filled with some great highlights, including a victory over the other team in our district.  After 9 seasons at the helm of our very successful program, Coach Matt Franco has decided to step down as our head coach.  We know the toll it takes to be a head coach and we thank Matt for all of his time and effort.  While his shoes will be hard to fill, we will look to hire a new coach in the very near future.

Girls Water Polo

After an absolute stunning upset of the other team in our district, our girls secured third place in league and will travel to Temecula to take on the #1 seed Pumas from Chaparral HS.

Girls Basketball

Last year our team won a league title for the first time in 25 years.  They liked that feeling so well, that they went back to back!  With an overall record of 22-4 and an undefeated league record, your Brahmas will take on Eisenhower from Rialto this Thursday at home.  Come out and cheer on this great team!

Boys Soccer

This gutty team needed a win over South Hills last Thursday to secure a playoff spot and they accomplished that feat with a resounding 4-0 victory!  With the second place finish, they were rewarded with a 150 mile road trip to Dunn School in Los Olivos (Thanks CIF!!!)

Boys Basketball

Rebuild?  Our Brahma hoops team doesn’t rebuild, we reload!  After the loss of a tremendous senior class last year, everyone counted this group out.  Thanks to an amazing culture that our coaches have instilled, these guys are once again representing us in CIF! They will travel to Oak Park this Wednesday (Thanks again CIF!!!)

Wrestling

We can officially say the Brahmas are Back!!! Coach Bonafe and his staff have done an absolutely remarkable job turning our wrestling program around.  This past weekend was league finals and our Brahmas delivered!   We had 12 boys qualify for CIF and al our girls wrestlers qualified as well.  This included 2 League Champions from both the boys and girls teams.

CIF Individuals for boys and girls is February 9th.
