Diamond Bar High School’s parent groups are coming together to bring popular gourmet food trucks to the 4 Wheel Food Fest, scheduled for Saturday, February 11, 2012.
The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the front parking lot of Diamond Bar High School. Trucks participating include Don Chow’s Tacos, as seen on Food Network’s Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives; the Slummin’ Gourmet, Sweet E’s Bake Shop, as seen on Food Network’s Cupcake Wars, and Slammin’ Sliders. More are expected to take part, and all will donate a portion of sales to the school.
Several parent organizations, collectively known as the Magnificent 7, are putting the event on. The groups represent the diverse student community at DBHS, and include the Brahma Boosters, Brahma Foundation, Council of African American Parents, Chinese American Parent Association, Korean American Parent Association, Hispanic Organization of Parents and Education, and South Asian Parent Association.
“We have this amazing group that represents the various communities of our school,” said Catherine Real, principal of Diamond Bar High School. “We have been anxious to bring a food truck event to our school and are excited about this delicious fundraising, community event.”
Admission will be $2 for adults, $1 for students with an ID, and free for kids five and under. No outside food or beverages will be permitted. For more information, visit the Diamond Bar High School website.
