Trigonometry topics include right-triangle trigonometry, trigonometry on a circle, radian measure, graphing trigonometric functions, solving triangles, inverse trigonometric functions, sum, difference, double, and half-angle formulas, trigonometric identities and equations, vectors, polar equations, and the complex number system, including De Moivre’s theorem.
This course covers three semesters of high school mathematics in one year. Successful students enjoy the challenge of mathematics, have easily found success in previous math courses, and can dedicate additional time to mathematics.
Because this course is more rigorous than a regularly paced math class, students without grades of “A” in Algebra I or Geometry are encouraged to take Algebra II.

Throughout the course, students examine how cultural paradigms may hinder or assist in the search for truth. The course is based on inquiry and discussion. Active participation in all classroom activities is essential, and students are expected to contribute both individually and as members of cooperative groups.
