  Friday, March 11, 2022, fans assembled before our Brahma varsity baseball game to celebrate the accomplishments of alumni JARED JANKE & KARL THOMPSON (Class of 1992) and be present as their retired jersey numbers were entered into the newly established Ring of Honor. Old team mates, coaches, colleagues, friends and family were in attendance, including former baseball head coach KENT NEIL, former athletics director RAY MOORE and former coach and principal DENIS PAUL.

• 4:29 Robotics Team Competes In OC Regional Featured

  Friday & Saturday, March 11 & 12, our competitive robotics team, TEAM SPROCKET, is competing in the Orange County FIRST ROBOTICS regional. (VIDEO: This video is a recording of one of their qualifying rounds Friday morning. They are TEAM 3473.
  
  The event is a culmination of the 2-month long process of designing, manufacturing, programming, assembling and operating a 125-pound robot, in a competitive environment. Our modest little bot is designed to pickup & shoot balls into the lower-level goal, and grab a bar 5 feet off the ground and lift itself into a hanging position.
  
  The competition is being live-streamed on Twitch, starting at 9 a.m.

  While Jeanette Lomboy was at DBHS, she was a member of Journalism and service clubs. After graduating in 1995, she started working as a Disneyland Attractions ride operator while attending UCLA where she received her B.A.
  
  Today, Jeanette is the Vice President/Site Portfolio Executive of Walt Disney Imagineering. She oversees all Walt Disney Imagineering efforts and overall visioning for the Disneyland Resort (including Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure, Downtown Disney, Disney Grand Californian Hotel, the Disneyland Hotel, and Disney Paradise Pier Hotel), and for Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa. Jeanette drives creative development and business strategy for all WDI projects at all parks, hotels, and resort areas in the region, from inception and delivery to sustainment and operations. Most recently, the all-new Avengers Campus, Pixar Pier, and Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! were delivered under Jeanette’s direct leadership.
  
  Outside of Disney, Jeanette’s career includes rich experience throughout the hospitality and tourism industry. She was the Manager of Passenger Programs and Entertainment at Princess Cruises, overseeing entertainment product across the line’s fleet while launching a number of new-build cruise ships. For her work, Travel Agent Magazine named her one of the Top 100 Rising Stars. She is also a freelance travel journalist and previous media member of the North American Travel Journalists Association (NATJA).
