Happy World Culture Week from DBHS World Languages & the Cast of “Disney’s Frozen: The Broadway Musical!”
Frozen World Language Classes in Chinese, French, Korean, & Spanish got in the Frozen Spirit by learning and singing “Let It Go” in various languages. They were joined by the cast of our Spring Production coming in April!

Pathways Communication Academy, a learning community with rich and rigorous communication skills training, will provide a personalized education to prepare students for post-secondary life. Student's academic and personal potential will be obtained through standards-based curriculum, common core practices and meaningful life experiences in and beyond the classroom. Working in partnership with parents and the local community, the Pathways staff will develop student's college and career readiness skills as they prepare to be citizens of the 21st century.

Mi-Hyun Suh Classical Crossroads Performance

In 2019-20, as a junior, Brahma Mi-Hyun Suh won the 48th Edith Knox Performance Competition, which earned her scholarship money and several invitaions to perform in different venues.
Recently, as a DBHS senior, Mi-Hyun was given the opportunity to perform a solo recital for Classical Crossroads’ “First Friday’s at first! ~ fff” concert series. Her performance premiered on YouTube Friday, October 2, 2020. She performed the Sonata in b minor by Franz Liszt at the First Lutheran Church of Torrance. This is the recording. WE ARE BRAHMAS!

Wednesday, November 28, The Wellness Center’s TED-inspired talks returned to the Diamond Bar High School stage after last year’s teacher attendees were in total agreement that the event should continue.
Approximately 80 students auditioned and 18 were selected to express their personal message on mental wellness. In the upcoming days, each of the talks presented that day will be posted on Facebook, YouTube and dbhs.org.
While Jeanette Lomboy was at DBHS, she was a member of Journalism and service clubs. After graduating in 1995, she started working as a Disneyland Attractions ride operator while attending UCLA where she received her B.A.
Today, Jeanette is the Vice President/Site Portfolio Executive of Walt Disney Imagineering. She oversees all Walt Disney Imagineering efforts and overall visioning for the Disneyland Resort (including Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure, Downtown Disney, Disney Grand Californian Hotel, the Disneyland Hotel, and Disney Paradise Pier Hotel), and for Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa. Jeanette drives creative development and business strategy for all WDI projects at all parks, hotels, and resort areas in the region, from inception and delivery to sustainment and operations. Most recently, the all-new Avengers Campus, Pixar Pier, and Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! were delivered under Jeanette’s direct leadership.
Outside of Disney, Jeanette’s career includes rich experience throughout the hospitality and tourism industry. She was the Manager of Passenger Programs and Entertainment at Princess Cruises, overseeing entertainment product across the line’s fleet while launching a number of new-build cruise ships. For her work, Travel Agent Magazine named her one of the Top 100 Rising Stars. She is also a freelance travel journalist and previous media member of the North American Travel Journalists Association (NATJA).

Here is our team showing their skills in a nice volley during their CIF match. Thanks to Coach Bevans and our Brahma Volleyball team for a great season! 👏🏽 We are proud of you! 🙌🏽. The CIF journey ended Thursday, October 20, with the Brahmas falling to the Buckley Griffins. Varsity finished the season 16-12 overall. Great job volleyball 🏐
