Tuesday, November 28, our Diamond Bar High School Wellness Center hosted its first TEDx event. TEDx events are produced independently of TED conferences, each event curates speakers on their own, but based on TED's format and rules. Sixty-five DBHS students auditioned before a panel of staff members. Nineteen were chosen as speakers who shared their ideas with English classes in our theater.
Wednesday, November 28, The Wellness Center’s TED-inspired talks returned to the Diamond Bar High School stage after last year’s teacher attendees were in total agreement that the event should continue.
Approximately 80 students auditioned and 18 were selected to express their personal message on mental wellness.

On Thursday, April 19, three Brahmas spoke in front of an audience of over 10,000 students, educators, and celebrities at WE Day California at the Forum in Inglewood. Melody Chang, Grace Jean, and Josephine Kim shared highlights of their work on their AP with WE service projects last year in their AP Environmental Science course. The students were selected by The College Board based on that work, for which each of them earned the designation “AP Environmental Science with Service” on their AP Score report. Click HERE for more details on WE Day. This experience was made possible through the support and guidance of Assistant Principal, David Hong, who advised the students throughout the service projects.
