BRAHMA ALUMNUS SPOTLIGHT:

Lt. Colonel Ashley Lee (Class of 1995)

We have been proudly following the career of Brahma graduate US Army Lieutenant Colonel Ashley Lee. We want to bring you up to date on what she has been doing. This month, May 2021, she completed her two-year command of the 3rd Battalion, 58th Aviation Regiment. The battalion is a specialized group of air traffic controllers.

Her first year of command was spent preparing for the battalion's deployment to the Horn of Africa (Djibouti, Somalia and Kenya) in support of Operation Freedom's Sentinel (May 2020-March 2021). They were responsible for the management of airfields in Somalia and Kenya.

Operation Freedom's Sentinel is the continuation of Operation Enduring Freedom (The U.S. fight against Al Qaeda in the Middle East and Al Shabaab in East Africa).

For her next assignment, she will be posted at the National War College at Fort McNair, DC.
