Senior GLC Announcements & Dates

Hello Class of 2022 and families,

Only three more weeks until we began SENIOR WEEK! Please read through this email in its entirety for important dates and announcements as we head into these final weeks.

CSU/UC/Four-Year University Statement of Intent to Register (SIR)

If you've been accepted to a four-year university and plan on enrolling for next fall, you must submit your "intent to register" by the campus deadline, along with a deposit. Each campus will let you know how to do this via your student portal account. Many campuses also require you to sign up for a new student orientation by a specific date, as well. Most schools (including CSU and UC campuses) have a MAY 1st deadline.

If you are on a waiting list for another university, you will still need to SIR to one university in the meantime. Typically, the deposit is non-refundable, so keep that in mind when making your final decision.

SUBMITTING FINAL TRANSCRIPTS

Eventually, you will be required to submit a final high school transcript to the institution you will be attending. You can order your final DBHS transcript on or after June 20th on www.parchment.com. Do not place the order before June 20th or you will not be sending a finalized transcript.

MT. SAN ANTONIO COLLEGE

We are so lucky to have such a great relationship with the counselors at Mt. SAC and they will be making another visit to our campus on WEDNESDAY, MAY 4th from 8:00-11:00am in the College and Career Center. You may drop in any time during those hours to ask questions or finish the registration process. If you would like to receive a call slip or reminder, please email our College and Career Center advisor, Ms. Santiago at [email protected].

GRADES

Three. More. Weeks… then it is on to the FUN! Don’t give up yet…You need to continue to work hard in your classes and work with your teachers to bring your grades up if you are in danger of not passing.  It’s hard to stay focused when you’re so close to the finish line, but do your best in class and take time to appreciate the family and friends who have been there for you for so long!  Thanks for being such a wonderful class and keep being the great students we love!
