March 1 & 2, Team Sprocket competed in the 2025 Orange County Regional of the FIRST Robotics Competition.
After qualifying for the playoff rounds, our team finished in 7th place of the robotics competition, but we continued to build off of our success in the Outreach categories.
Following up on last year’s Impact Award win at the Los Angeles Regional, Team Sprocket once again secured the top prize as the Impact Award Winner of the 2025 Orange County FRC Regional.
Here is the official description of award:
“The FIRST Impact Award (formerly Chairman’s Award) is the most prestigious award at FIRST, it honors the team that best represents a model for other teams to emulate and best embodies the mission of FIRST. It was created to keep the central focus of FIRST Robotics Competition on the ultimate goal of transforming the culture in ways that will inspire greater levels of respect and honor for science and technology, as well as encouraging more of today’s youth to become science and technology leaders.”
By winning this award, Team Sprocket will represent Diamond Bar High School in competing for the 2025 FIRST World Championship Impact Award against the best robotics programs from over 38 countries. (Fortunately, the FIRST WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP takes place during Spring Break, so these young scholars will not miss classes. 😊)
Special thanks to our Impact Award Presentation Team – Denielle Tran(11), Justin Tran (10), Jolene Liu (10), Aaron Shaw (12), Sarena Yu (11).
Please join us in congratulating our student on this tremendous accomplishment.
Go BRAHMAS!!!
