We would love to congratulate DBHS and CTE Alum Abby Kottke (CO 2022) on their recent graduation from CSULB and the presentation of their documentary films at the Full Spectrum 2026 Cinematic Showcase at the Carpernter Performing Arts Center!
Ms. Kottke is recent graduate of the CSULB Cinematic Arts program, during her tenor at DBHS she was a CTE pathway completor of the Digital Video Production program, and was the Brahma Cinematics Club Presient. Additionally, she was a recipient of the $500 scholarship in collaboration with the non-profit REACH for Mental Health, for her Eye Opener documentary - Going Off Script Olivia James. The Eye Opener documentary category encourages students to see the importance of filmmaking as a form for social justice and providing awareness of social issues.

"Farmersville, a small town, was once the subject of the Farmersville Film Project in the 1960s, which was an initiative by the government aimed at supporting social progress. This documentary returns to the town with open questions, exploring how the community's present compares with expectations from its past."
