The Diamond Bar Chinese-American Association helped usher in the Year of the Dragon Saturday during the annual Chinese Lunar New Year Celebration.
The event was held at Diamond Bar High School from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with hundreds of residents coming to the festivities. Food and boba drinks were for sale, and several local businesses had booths set up and passed out pens, notepads and more. Puente Hills Toyota was on hand with two vehicles that participants could look at up close.
The Walnut Valley Water District and Diamond Bar Friends of the Library had wheels that attendees spun for prizes, which included everything from books from the Friends of the Library to frisbees from the Water District. There was also live entertainment, a bounce house, and trivia questions that were answered by children in the audience.
