FBLA Members Win at The Section Leadership Conference
On Saturday, March 3rd, 54 Diamond Bar FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) members attended the Gold Coast Section Leadership Conference (SLC) at West Ranch High School, Valencia. SLC hosted over 1,100 members from all over southern California, it was the largest conference held throughout California.
SLC was hosted by Diamond Bar’s very own senior Lavanya Jawaharlal, the CA State Executive Vice President and Gold Coast Section President and senior Arthur Teng, the Gold Coast Section Vice President of Membership.
Junior Sara Pak and freshman Gregory Gunadi were elected to be a part of the Gold Coast Section Officer Team 2012-2013 for the positions of Vice President of Activities and Secretary-Treasurer, respectively.
Overall, Diamond placed 5th in Sweepstakes. This award is based on a point system, depending on what members place in their competitive events. It is the first time DBHS has been in the top ten sweepstakes. Placing 5th out of 35 schools is a wonderful achievement!
