Class of 2012 Leaves Diamond Bar With Pride

Story By Bill Norris, DiamondBarPatch

Diamond Bar High School said goodbye to more than 700 members of the Class of 2012 on Thursday, May 31.

The school, which is celebrating 30 years serving the students in the community, held its commencement ceremonies at its football stadium. Family and loved ones packed bleachers on both sides of the stadium.

Speaches brimmed with pride over the year's achievements. This year, the school's all male dance crew took the championship in the USA Finals and the football squad's reclaimed the branding iron trophy from rival Walnut High School.

"Best wishes class of 2012," Diamond Bar High School Principal Catherine Real said after the ceremony. "We love you. We're proud of you. We can't wait to see your next accomplishments."

"There's a lot of promise out there," said Vice Principal John Terry. "They all have very different talents ... I'm looking forward to see what the class of 2012 looks like 10 years from now."
