Last Saturday, March 14 (Pi Day!!), six Diamond Bar High students (Brandon Sim -10, Katherine Liu -11, Jessica Chen-11, Gary Li-11, Sherry Zhang-11, and Eugene Chou-12) formed a team and participated in the Tenth Annual Math Day at the Beach at California State University, Long Beach. The contest involved five rounds: Individual Multiple Choice, Individual Free Response, Team Free Response, Relays, and the Faceoff. Thirty-one schools sent teams and other students were involved as independants. There were two divisions. Diamond Bar High's division included 22 schools. The students were so excited - they brought home the 2nd Place trophy in their division. More information on the competition can be found at: http://www.csulb.edu/depts/math/mathday
