Varsity Boys Cross Country takes first place in their first league meet with 30 points. September 6, Cross Country competed in our first league meet of the season in our new league, Mt. Baldy. Here are some highlights!
· Boys Varsity took 1st place! We beat Ontario, 30-35, and Chaffey, 30-99 (like golf, low score wins; top 5 runners score)
o George Rosales (11th) and Lukas Amare (11th) tied for 1st place with a time of 16:24.1
o Thomas Ear (12th) placed 6th with a time of 17:09
o Andrew Kim (9th) placed 10th with a time of 17:53
o Nathan Sinn (10th) placed 11th with a time of 17:55
o Frederick Yang (12th) placed 19th with a time of 18:22
o David Montoya (12th) placed 30th with a time of 18:56
· Girls Varsity took 3rd place. We were narrowly defeated by Ontario and Chaffey (who tied for 1st) by 2 points, with a score of 55-53.
o Keili Ishitani (10th) placed 3rd with a time of 20:24
o Allison Ear (10th) placed 6th with a time of 20:32
o Victoria Artale (10th) placed 11th with a time of 21:47
o Henna Gonzalo (9th) placed 17th with a time of 22:41
