Deadline: March 10th
Yardi Scholars for Environmental Justice is a transformative four-year scholarship program for students from all majors who want to learn the change making skills needed to address complex environmental challenges and create lasting environmental solutions.
Milken Scholars Program (Deadline November 8th)
This program celebrates and supports academic achievement, demonstrated leadership, as well as school and community service among college-bound students who have overcome social, economic, or other obstacles. Milken Scholars receive financial assistance totaling up to $10,000.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Graduate in Spring 2025
- Demonstrated Leadership and Community Service
- Financial or other obstacles
- A U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident, or individual granted deferred action status under the DACA program
- Minimum unweighted GPA of 3.6
- Test Flexible (Meet one of the following)
- SAT Superscore minimum 1350
- ACT Composite superscore minimum of 29
- AP exam(s) with minimum score(s) of 3
- On track to earn IB Diploma
- On track to earn Associate degree by high school graduation
Students must be nominated by their GLC! GLCs can only nominate up to 15 senior students from DBHS. Email your GLC by Friday, November 8th if you meet eligibility and would like to be nominated! We will nominate students based on eligibility and first-come-first serve basis.

The Hagan Scholarship (Deadline December 1)
The Hagan Scholarship is a nationwide need-based merit scholarship, providing recipients “regardless of nationality” with the opportunity to achieve their goals and graduate college debt-free.
Coolidge Scholarship Program (Deadline December 11th)
The Coolidge Scholarship is a full-ride, four-year, merit scholarship that recipients may use for undergraduate study at any accredited college or university in the United States. Any high school junior who plans to enroll in college in the fall of 2026 and is an American citizen or legal permanent resident is eligible to apply (current high school seniors are not eligible to apply). Winners may use the scholarship to pursue any academic major. Academic excellence is the primary criterion considered by the Coolidge Scholarship. Secondary criteria include an interest in public policy and an appreciation of the values President Coolidge championed. Successful candidates will also demonstrate humility and have a record of genuine service to their communities.
Jefferson Scholars Scholarships
Jefferson and Walentas Scholarships are awarded to individuals who have undergone a rigorous selection process and who possess an exceptional record of and the potential for impact both inside and outside the classroom. The selection process has three main components: Nomination, Regional Review, and Final Selection.
Jefferson Scholarship and the Walentas Scholarship is intended to cover the entire cost of attendance for four years at the University of Virginia, plus coverage of supplemental enrichment experiences.
Ayn Rand Essay Contests (Rolling Deadlines)
These contests encourage students to seriously engage with Rand’s ideas through reflection on her profound and influential novels. Students who participate will need to read the book they have selected carefully, grapple with its complex themes, and push the boundaries of their writing ability. Winner can earn up to $10,000.
KPMG Future Leaders Program ( Deadline February 1st)
- High school female senior planning to enroll in a four-year undergraduate program for the upcoming 2024 fall semester
- Demonstrates significant financial need (average recipient household income from the last 3 years was $33,000)
- United States citizen or permanent resident (includes all U.S. territories)
- Demonstrates academic excellence (minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA) and leadership potential
- Demonstrates interest in a business or STEM academic track
- Letter of recommendation from a nonprofit/community organization
2023 HSF Scholar Program Application (Deadline February)
Scholars are selected based on merit. Award amounts range from $500 - $5,000, based on relative need.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be of Hispanic heritage
- U.S. citizen, permanent legal resident, or DACA
- Minimum of 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) for high school students; minimum of 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) for college and graduate students
- Plan to enroll full-time in an accredited, public or not-for-profit, four-year university, or graduate school, in the US, for the 2023-2024 academic year
- Submit the FAFSA or state-based financial aid forms (if applicable)
TELACU SCHOLARSHIP- COLLEGE SUCCESS PROGRAM (Deadline February)
Eligibility Requirements:
- Be a first-generation college student
- Be from a low-income household
- Have a minimum 2.5 GPA
- Be enrolled full-time for the entire academic year
- Attend mandatory Sessions throughout the academic year, some will be held on Saturday mornings
- California Applicants: Be a permanent resident of an underserved community within the counties of Los Angeles, Orange, or San Bernardino, such as East Los Angeles, Boyle Heights, Baldwin Park, Bell Gardens, Commerce, Huntington Park, City of Los Angeles, Montebello, Ontario, Pico Rivera, Pomona, South Gate, Santa Ana, and San Bernardino
The USC TOPPING SCHOLARSHIP (Deadline March 1st)
If you answer “yes” to all three questions, we encourage you to proceed with the Topping Scholarship Application Instructions below:
1. Are you applying for USC admission for Fall as a full-time, on-campus freshman, transfer or graduate student, or are you a new Spring/Summer admit?
2. Do you have high financial need (expected family contribution less than $20,000) and will submit a FAFSA or Dream Act application?
3. Do you demonstrate a strong community awareness and contribute to the betterment of a community through volunteer efforts or other service?

Award: Up to $5,000 offered as one-time or renewable for up to four years.
TYLENOL FUTURE CARE SCHOLARSHIPS
Eligibility Requirements:
• Be a resident of the 50 United States, Puerto Rico, or the District of Columbia.
• Be a graduate student or be a college senior who will be enrolling in graduate school during the 2023-24
academic year.
• Provide proof of enrollment to a graduate program in medical school, nursing, and/or pharmacy.
• Have one or more years of school remaining.
• Be a resident of the 50 United States, Puerto Rico, or the District of Columbia.
• Be a graduate student or be a college senior who will be enrolling in graduate school during the 2023-24
academic year.
• Provide proof of enrollment to a graduate program in medical school, nursing, and/or pharmacy.
• Have one or more years of school remaining.
RTDNA Scholarships and Fellowships
Scholarships are open to college students pursuing careers in radio, television, or digital journalism. Fellowships are open to professional broadcast or digital journalists with fewer than 10 years of experience. Winners must be officially enrolled, full-time sophomores, juniors or seniors in good standing. Scholarship and fellowship winners are also asked to attend the RTDNA conference free of charge and with travel support.
The Gates Scholarship (September 15th)
- A high school senior; from at least one of the following ethnicities: African-American, American Indian/Alaska Native*, Asian & Pacific Islander American, and/or Hispanic American
- Pell-eligible
- A US citizen, national, or permanent resident
- In good academic standing with a minimum cumulative weighted GPA of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent)
- Additionally, a student must plan to enroll full-time, in a four-year degree program, at a US accredited, not-for-profit, private or public college or university.
QUESTBRIDGE National College Match Program (Deadline September 26th)
Multiple scholarships and programs available; awards vary. If the student is applying for K-12
college preparatory services and/or summer programs.
