Summer may feel far away, but now is the perfect time to start planning for an unforgettable academic experience! Boston University is now accepting applications for its 2026 Summer Term Pre-College Programs, designed specifically for motivated high school students who want to explore college life, challenge themselves academically, and discover their future interests. BU offers four exciting pre-college programs, each providing a unique opportunity to learn, grow, and experience life on a world-class university campus:

🎓 High School Honors

  • Length: 6 weeks
  • Format: Residential, commuter, or online
  • Highlights: Take real BU undergraduate courses and earn up to 8 transferable college credits
  • Eligibility: Students entering junior or senior year in Fall 2026

🔬 RISE Internship / Practicum

  • Length: 6 weeks
  • Format: Residential or commuter (non-credit)
  • Highlights: Conduct hands-on, university-level scientific research alongside BU mentors
  • Eligibility: Domestic students entering senior year in Fall 2026

📚 Academic Immersion (AIM)

  • Length: 3 weeks
  • Format: Residential or commuter (non-credit)
  • Highlights: Deep dive into one academic subject while experiencing college life
  • 2026 Tracks:
    • Introduction to Experimental Psychology
    • Introduction to Medicine
    • Creative Writing
    • Business
  • Eligibility: Students entering junior or senior year in Fall 2026

🏫 Summer Challenge

  • Length: 2 weeks
  • Format: Residential or commuter (non-credit)
  • Highlights: Choose two seminars, explore academic interests, and get a true taste of college life
  • Eligibility: Students entering sophomore, junior, or senior year in Fall 2026

Oberlin Overnight is an exciting opportunity for high school seniors interested in the College of Arts & Sciences to get a firsthand view of campus life through an overnight stay with a current Oberlin student. Participants will attend classes, tour campus, and participate in special themed programming. All programs include transportation between the Cleveland airport and Oberlin’s campus, as well as meals and accommodations during the visit. The Diversity & Access program also includes round-trip airfare and requires a special application.
 

SYRACUSE UNIVERSITY

Pre-College Programs

 

In Summer College, your students can choose from over 100 college-level courses offered On Campus, Online or On Location in one of our academic centers in New York City or Los Angeles. As a Summer College student, they will:

  • Build their resume or portfolio
  • Enhance their college applications so they stand out to college admissions
  • Test out a major before committing to their undergrad degree
  • Make new friends with like-minded students from around the world
  • Earn a Certificate of Completion and a Syracuse University credit or noncredit transcript

 

The scholarship deadline is March 1, 2026, and the final application deadline is May 1, 2026. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and courses fill quickly, so please encourage your students to apply soon!

MedReach at UCLA: Opportunities for High School Students

MedReach at UCLA is pleased to invite high school students across Los Angeles county and beyond to our in person and virtual "Ready for Healthcare" seminars. The in-person seminar will be held 11/22 from 10:30-12:00pm at Bruin Viewpoint Room in Ackerman Union on UCLA Campus. The virtual seminar will be held 11/02 from 10:30-12:00pm on Zoom.

In our seminars, students will learn about various healthcare careers, participate in mock case studies to better understand the role of healthcare providers, and engage in fun activities to challenge their knowledge of medical terminology! Students will also have the opportunity to ask a panel of pre-health college students their questions regarding college applications, career choices, academics, and more!

We highly encourage high school students to take initiative and make use of these available resources. MedReach at UCLA also provides these opportunities approximately every 3 months during the academic school year! Our seminars are also completely free of cost and is open to any high school students that wish to attend!

Intended for high school seniors, this annual event will highlight opportunities offered by Smith College for African American, Asian American, Latin American, Native American, and/or first-generation college students. All students are welcome. Housing, meals, and transportation to and from campus is included.

 

Participants will have the chance to connect with current Smith students, faculty, and other community members. Additional programming will include a series of panels and workshops on academics and student life.

The Preview Pitzer Program 2025
 
October 6th-8th, 2025
Application due date: August 24th, 2025
 
This program is designed for high school seniors who are first-generation college students and/or from lower-income backgrounds. During the visit, students will stay in the dorms, meet current students and professors, learn more about the Pitzer College community, and have the opportunity to interview with our admission team and meet with a financial aid officer. The cost of all travel, meals, and accommodations are fully covered.
