PROM Reminders (Sat, Apr 26)

Reminders
Bring Student ID for check in

Parking
Free, onsite parking is available at the venue.  

Drop Off and Pick UP
Parent Drop off and Pick up is available at the entry of the venue.  The doors to the event will close at 7:30 pm, there will be no entry after this time. Once you leave the dance you will not be readmitted. 
 
Please arrange to have transportation arrive for pick up BEFORE  10:30 pm.    

Students should not be waiting for rides home after 10:30 pm.  Failure to arrange transportation home by 10:30 pm will result in the loss of privilege to attend future activities or events such as Prom or Senior Activities. 

Security and Safety
Students/Guests attending the event will go through a security check with Contraband Canines. Purses, coats and pockets will be searched.  Anaheim Police Department will be in attendance at this venue.  Please refer to the list of prohibited items below.  

BAG POLICY
For all private events at the Grove, bags and purses can be no larger than 5”x9”x2” to be permitted in the event space and are subject to manual inspection.
All other purses/bags/clutches will not be allowed into the venue. 
The Grove does not offer storage for oversized bags. 

PROHIBITED ITEMS
In addition to bags that do not adhere to the policy above, the following additional items
are not permitted at any time within the private event spaces:
  • Outside Food or beverages.  No mints, gum, water, water bottles.  
  • Liquids of any kind-perfume, eye drops, mouth wash etc.  
  • Ink pens
  • Weapons or anything that could be used as a Weapon
  • Alcohol or Narcotics substances
  • Backpacks or large bags
  • Bags/Purses larger than 5”x9”x2”
  • Tobacco/Vape/Nicotine products
  • Laser Pointers
Behavior Guidelines
Students are expected to adhere to all behavior guidelines of Diamond Bar High School.  

Students that are bringing a non-DBHS date need to be fully aware that they are responsible for their dates and the action of that date.  Any negative behavior from non-DBHS dates will result in consequences for the DBHS student.  

Wristband Policy 
Behavior on and off the dance floor must be socially acceptable and adhere to all behavior guidelines of Diamond Bar High School.  Consequences will be given to those individuals who do not follow them.  

Physically dangerous dancing and movements, such as “slamming” or “moshing” are not allowed. Any behavior on the dance floor that puts  the safety of those around you at risk is reason to be removed from the event.  

Dance movements and mannerisms must reflect the standards of modesty and good taste. Dance movements, commonly known as “Freaking” or “Grinding”, which depict or suggest private, sexual acts are a distraction or bothersome to others and deemed inappropriate and unacceptable.   
Individuals, couples and/or groups engaging in such acts may be removed from the dance without refund and parents will be contacted.

**Students and guests will receive a wristband when they check in to the dance. Any student or guest dancing inappropriately will have their wristband removed and they will no longer be able to dance. A second incident will result in the removal of the student and/or guest from the dance entirely without refund.
