"Of Mice and Men" – Project

Please choose one of the following projects:

- Design a Full Color Poster
o Movie Poster: New version of the film with appropriate casting for the lead characters.You also need to include the release date, two specific movie review quotes, one to two things from the film, its rating, and a tag line for the film.
o Book Cover: New book cover that includes the title, artwork, author’s name, publisher, and tag line. The back of the book should also be included.

- Design a Board Game or Escape Room
o Create a board game based on the themes and events of the story. You should include the rules and pieces necessary to play the game. Your game board should be artistic and the entire board should be covered. In addition, you will need to create a box to hold all the game pieces and equipment.

- Children’s Book
o Create a children’s book adapted from the story. The children’s book should be in color and include artwork on every page. The story should be simplified and adapted into a version for children to read. (Think Cat in the Hat or If you give a Mouse a Cookie). Your book should adapt the entire story into a shortened version appropriate for children.

Imagine you have been asked to work on a new film adaptation of "Romeo and Juliet." Your job is to bring your musical expertise to a short film adaptation by creating the "script," "Soundtrack," and "virtual storyboard."

For this project, you must choose AT LEAST 5 songs to be part of your short film adaptation.

For this project, you must turn in a completed script for the short film adaptation of "Romeo and Juliet" and a "Virtual Storyboard."

In 4-6 minutes, you should tell your own musical adaptation of "Romeo and Juliet." Use James Cordon's video as a example. Identify in your script which scene the song goes with.

You may choose any music you like, as long it is appropriate and the choices fit with the scene.

To Kill A Mockingbird – Project

Please choose one of the following projects:

- Design a Full Color Poster
o Movie Poster: New version of the film with appropriate casting for the following
characters: Atticus Finch, Scout Finch, Jem Finch, Dill Harris, Boo Radley, Calpurnia, Bob Ewell, Tom Robinson, and Miss Maudie. You also need to include the release date, two specific movie review quotes, one to two things from the film, its rating, and a tag line for the film.
o Book Cover: New book cover that includes the title, artwork, author’s name, publisher, and tag line. The back of the book should also be included.

- Design a Board Game or Escape Room
o Create a board game based on the themes and events of the story. You should include the rules and pieces necessary to play the game. Your game board should be artistic and the entire board should be covered. In addition, you will need to create a box to hold all the game pieces and equipment.

- Children’s Book
o Create a children’s book adapted from the story. The children’s book should be in color and include artwork on every page. The story should be simplified and adapted into a version for children to read. (Think Cat in the Hat or If you give a Mouse a Cookie). Your book should adapt the entire story into a shortened version appropriate for children.

- Comic Book
o Create a comic book or graphic novel based on the story. Your comic book should focus on the entire story and have color images on every page. Adapt the story in a way you see fit. (If you did this for your Assessments, you need to choose another option)
