The Walnut Valley Unified School District is pleased to announce the first annual Parent Symposium. The event will provide resources and strategies for parents, guardians, and grandparents. Specific areas to be discussed are: academic success, social & emotional needs, cultural diversity, newcomers to the country, and behavior strategies. Participants will have the opportunity to hear Dr. Michele Borba, a globally-recognized educational psychologist, who is an expert in parenting, bullying prevention, and character development. Her aim is to strengthen children’s empathy and resilience. She has delivered keynotes and workshops to over 1,000,000 participants and authored 24 books translated into 14 languages!
