We have received a few inquiries in regard to the Novel Coronavirus. We have been in contact with the Health Department who shared the information below with us:

This is the current information on the CDPH website for coronavirus.  https://www.cdph.ca.gov/Programs/CID/DCDC/Pages/Immunization/nCOV2019.aspx   Diagnosing at this time is only being done at CDC through the laboratory.  Encourage good handwashing, cover your cough, etc.     

What are the symptoms of novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV)?

Typically, human coronaviruses cause mild-to-moderate respiratory illness. Symptoms are very similar to the flu, including:

• Runny nose
• Headache
• Cough
• Sore throat
• Fever
• Shortness of breath

At this time WVUSD staff will be monitoring all students for the symptoms listed above. We will need your help to monitor your student when they are home. If you notice any of these symptoms please contact your medical provider.
