In Mr. Hwang’s Fundamental of Art class two amazing artists were selected to be our ‘Artist of the Month’. 10th grader Farrah Lam and 9th grader Chenni Li were both voted by their peers as the artists they most admired through this first drawing project. Students were asked to recreate a photo of something they considered beautiful. They are worked diligently on 12”x18” drawing paper with traditional pencils. Working for 4 weeks both of these artists displayed an understanding of brilliant realism and stunning attention to detail.
