Congratulations to DBHS juniors JADEN ZHANG and BOBBY ZHU on the recent completion of their Eagle projects, as members of Boy Scout Troop 730 in Diamond Bar. Both of them conducted their projects at First Chinese Baptist Church in Walnut on separate days in September and October of 2020.
Both projects involved painting the interior of the Church's walls. Preparations included removing nails, patching holes, removing posters and boards, moving furniture, taping borders of doors, windows, and appliances, as well as layering plastic tarps on floors. They applied two coats of paint to the walls of church classrooms, the library and the youth worship room.
The purpose of a BSA Eagle project is to teach scouts project management. They are to design, fund and carryout a project that benefits a community or non-profit group. Their role during the project is to lead others is the execution of the plan.
