AP Exam Registration & Payment

Hello Parents and Guardians,

It is important to advise you of a few changes instituted by College Board Advanced Placement (AP) testing for the 2020-2021 school year.  AP Testing is scheduled for May 3 – May 14; late testing will take place May 18 – May 21.  The 2021 exams will cover the full content for each course to ensure students have opportunities to receive college credit and placement.  The AP Program supports school-site testing in 2021 because they believe administering AP exams in schools maximizes access and opportunity.  However, if safety concerns prohibit students from testing at school, College Board will provide a contingency testing option that contains full course content.

How Students Set Up their College Board Account:

Students should have already set up/logged in to their College Board account and should have registered as a student in each of the AP classes they are taking.  Students must use their personal emails so they will always have access to their College Board account.  Students should also use their legal name, as their legal name will be the one used for testing and sent to colleges/universities.  If students need to change one of these things after they have registered, they must contact College Board directly.

How Students Register for AP Tests:

Students will register for AP tests through AP Classroom.  So that students feel comfortable registering by the fall deadline, this year there will be no cancellation fees if a student decides not to test or decides to cancel their exams.  However, if a student registers for the exam after the October 30, 2020 deadline there will be a $40 late order fee.  Please ensure your student has signed into his/her/their AP classrooms and each test order is marked as “yes” if they plan to take the test.  Please note, students can only take AP tests for the AP courses they are enrolled in at Diamond Bar High School.

How to Pay for AP Tests:

Once students are signed up for the test in each of their AP Classrooms, they will need to pay for their tests.  All tests can be purchased on the Diamond Bar High School website through our Webstore (see link below).

  • Payments for year-long classes must be made by October 30, 2020.
  • Courses beginning in 2nd semester will register and make their payments by March 1.
