REMINDERS/ANNOUNCEMENTS ETC…
Greetings Class of 2021 Students and Parents,
Well, our first grading period of second semester is moving along very quickly. The first grading period ends on February 19, 2021. We recently had the opportunity to visit our senior class in their English classes and it was great to see our students. Our message included our encouragement to stay focused and continue to work hard with your best effort. Remember, “Control what you can control” and you can control your commitment and effort towards your studies and being the best version of yourself. We understand the significant challenges the pandemic has placed on all of us, our students, school, community, country and world. We are here to support our seniors in any way possible; we encourage our seniors to keep their foot on the pedal, to keep working towards their goals. Similar to any senior student in any past graduating class, your destination may be unknown, where you are going may not be clear just yet, but that is a normal thought for this time of your senior year. We realize the vehicle in which our Class of 2021 Seniors are traveling to reach their destination is much different and more difficult due to the pandemic, but your destinations will be determined by staying focused, and controlling what you are able to control. We believe you will reach your destination! Your futures are yours and as your Grade Level Coordinators, we are here to support you as you find your way.
WE LOVE OUR SENIORS ACTIVITY-DOUGHNUTS FOR SENIORS!
Your Grade Level Coordinators, Mr. Patterson, Mrs. Duenas and Mrs. Salas will be providing a treat for each DBHS Class of 2021 Senior. This Thursday, February 4th from 1:00-3:00 pm, your GLCs will be treating you to a Drive-By pick up of a Krispy Kreme doughnut. It is a simple gesture, but one which comes from our hearts. Our seniors are special; we look forward to more celebrations of this “AMAZING” group of students in the next weeks and months. We will be located in the DBHS parking lot-Look for the PINK balloons near the main gate to our campus. Security Guards will direct you to the Doughnuts. Come on by, pick up a Krispy Kreme doughnut and wave to your Grade Level Coordinators! Appropriate safety protocols will be followed, wear your mask, stay in your vehicle and enjoy a Krispy Kreme doughnut courtesy of your Grade Level Coordinators.

UNIVERSITY MID-YEAR REPORTS:
Your Class of 2021 GLCs will complete the submission process for Mid-Year Reports by the end of the week, February 5, 2021. Mid-Year reports allow your GLC to submit the student’s 7th Semester (1st semester of 12th Grade) academic transcript. If you applied to colleges using the Common Application, your GLC will automatically submit your Mid-Year Report using the Common Application Platform-so there is no need to send an email reminder to us. Your GLC will also submit Mid-Year Reports via the Coalition Application platform and SEND EDU platform if it is required. For private and/or out-of-state universities not using these Application platforms, your GLC will submit Mid-Year reports as requested via email requests. Remember, University of California (UC) and California State University (CSU) applications do not require a 7th semester transcript to be submitted. If you are contacted by a UC or CSU and a 7th transcript is requested then you will follow through with submitting the 7th semester transcript. Your GLC can assist you with this process or you may order a transcript using the PARCHMENT Transcript service. You will find directions for requesting a transcript via PARCHMENT on our DBHS webpage, www.dbhs.org under the STUDENTS link.
