Dear WVUSD Parents and Community,

All flags within our School District have been set to half-staff, per the recent Presidential Proclamation, to honor the victims of the tragedy in the Atlanta area, which took place on March 16, 2021. 

We know the recent events in Atlanta may be on the minds of our students, staff, families, and those in our community.  The Walnut Valley Unified School District continues to stand against any type of hate and/or discrimination and in support of celebrating our diversity and unity.  Our deepest condolences go out to the victims’ families.  We stand united with our Asian American and Pacific Islander families, as well as all of our families, in condemning senseless acts of violence.

For those who are personally affected by recent events, including last week’s violence in Atlanta, we encourage you to connect with our schools and/or our District Office, and to avail yourself of campus and District resources and support services.

Also, please be reminded that we have implemented a resource for our students, parents, and community to communicate with our School District under the Let’s Talkfeature on our District’s website.
