Congratulations to Brahma senior Alyssa Gore for officially completing her project and earning her Gold Award February 22, 2021. The Gold Award is the highest award a member of the Girl Scouts of America can achieve. She is the only Ambassador of Troop 8624 that has earned her Gold Award after being part of the Girl Scouts since her kindergartner years as a Daisy.

Alyssa’s Gold Award project was titled, "Growing Goodness" and made an impact on our community by adding a vegetable garden to a local assisted living home. This garden accommodates the differing abilities of the elderly residents by having multi-level gardening beds. Alyssa's project ignited an old passion of many residents, as well as gave them a fresh alternative to be used in the facility's kitchen.
