On Wednesday, July 28, the Walnut Valley Unified School Board approved the appointment of Diamond Bar High School English teacher Julian Rodriguez as our newest instructional dean. He will join our school's administrative team on Monday, August 2. Along with the other instructional deans, David Hong and Gabriel Aguilar, Mr. Rodriguez will help guide instructional policy and assist teachers in meeting their goals of continuous improvement.
For the past nine years, Mr. Rodriguez has taught all levels of English (9th -12th grades) including Advanced Placement, sheltered, general ed, and English Learners at Diamond Bar High School. For five of those years, he taught English, leadership, and student government for our Pathways Communications Academy. In addition, he also developed and implemented curriculum for the Summer Bridge Program, ensuring success for incoming freshmen.
