SENIOR BULLETIN #2
October 2010

UC and CSU applications are now available on-line. Both systems are requiring students to apply on-line.. If you absolute cannot apply on-line, see your GLC. The Universities point out the following advantages for applying through the Internet:

  •  Simpler and easier to fill out than the paper application
  •  Less chance of making mistakes due to prompts
  •  Will not let you continue to the next section if it detects a mistake or missing information
  •  Faster to fill out because much of the DBHS course information is automatically downloaded to your application
  •  When you send in your application you automatically and immediately get a confirmation number indicating that the system has received your application.
  •  THIS YEAR CSU WILL BE ACCEPTING ON-LINE APPLICATIONS STARTING OCTOBER 1S.T THEY WILL BE DUE NOVEMBER 30TH.

Accessing the on-line applications

You can go to our school’s website to access both applications. www.dbhs.org
or, UC Application available on the UC PATHWAYS Web site: http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/admissions/undergraduate.html and CSU application available at www.csumentor.edu

Private School Applications must be obtained directly from the university. Most of the schools also have an on-line application or you can download the application from their website.

Private Schools If you are applying to private schools, they require Letters of Recommendation, Secondary School Reports and Transcripts. (This does not apply to UC’s or CSU’s) If this describes you and you haven’t given your GLC your packet yet, you are already behind the curve. The more packets the GLC’s get, the less time they have to spend on each individual letter. You GLC’s want to do the best for each individual. If you want a great letter you need to get your Letter of Recommendation packet in to your GLC as soon as possible! The absolute deadline is October 29th.

IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS REGARDING APPLICATIONS OR THE PROCESS, DON’T GUESS OR TAKE A CHANCE, SEE YOUR GLC.

CDelta is a college admissions consulting company. One of it’s founders is a Diamond Bar High School graduate. They would like to give back to the school by offering a few free consultations to our students. If you are interested contact: CDELTA, 909-896-9254 or [email protected]
