Congratulations to Brahma senior Marcus Hsieh for earning the rank of Eagle in the Boy Scouts of America Friday, August 26, 2022. He is a member of Troop 730 in Diamond Bar. The rank of Eagle Scout is the highest rank that can be achieved after several years of learning skills, performing service and showing leadership.

Marcus's Eagle Project consisted of designing and implementing a Russian language and cultural program for underserved kids in Pomona.  Some of the activities students engaged in included cultural presentations, traditional folk dance, and "matryoshka" nesting doll painting.  Students also had an opportunity to take part in live virtual exchange with students in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia (Previous Soviet satellite state).  With his project, Marcus hopes to promote cultural awareness in the interest of fostering mutual understanding and cooperation.
