I would like to formally announce the resignation of our head football coach, John Martin. Coach Martin has decided along with his 10 year old son, Sean and his wife Michelle to devote more time to his family. On behalf of the entire school I want to thank John for his tireless efforts these past 4 years. I know that every young man is a better person for having been a part of his program. Coach Martin will still be on campus and plans to be here for many more years.
I am pleased to announce that Ryan Maine has been selected as our new head Varsity Football Coach.
A three-year varsity player and tri-sport athlete at Diamond Bar, Mr. Maine played quarterback under the tutelage of Terry Roche where he and the Brahmas won back-to-back CIF football championship rings in 1998 and 1999. He went on to play at Sacramento State and then at the University of San Diego where he was coached by Jim Harbaugh, recently named as the new 49’ers coach.
Mr. Maine has taught at Diamond Bar for four years and has coached for five. He has been the Brahmas’ Offensive Coordinator, Quarterback coach, and has assisted on the Freshman and JV baseball teams.
Mr. Maine is a great role model and we are looking forward to watching him implement his vision for our football program.
