Wednesday, February 16, 2023, west coast schools which had been awarded the 2022 National Blue Ribbon designation and the 2023 California Distinguished School designation were honored today by the California Department of Education at Disneyland. Walnut Valley Unified was exited to have six schools invited to the event.

The following shining Brahmas represented our school at the event: 2022 Teacher of the Year, Diana Wai, 2022 Gossett of the Year, Jolina McCurry, and our 2022 Brahma of the Year, David Lopez, accompanied Principal Dr. Reuben Jones.

In 2022, DBHS earned the distinction of being a National Blue Ribbon School was award a certificate and plaque in Washington, D.C. #raisingthebar
