All-Southern California Honor Band: 55 Diamond Bar students were recently named to the All-Southern California Honor Band. No single school has ever had more than 31! Bingo: Booster Bingo continues to provide a valuable resource to Diamond Bar High School every Saturday. They are in the process of installing a new state of the art caller’s table and attendance has been increasing. To access a recent article in the Patch, click on the following link: CLICK HERE
Board Nominations (Brahma Boosters): Nominations of eligible candidates to the executive board can be made at the February and March Booster meetings. The February meeting is scheduled for 2/22/11 at 7 pm in the Golden Horseshoe. For more information, please contact Booster President Larry Young at [email protected]

Boeing Summer Internship: Ms. Alina Gallardo, Director of our Brahma Tech Academy, has been working hand-in-hand with Mr. Clark Rucker, parent and Boeing employee, to earn an internship opportunity for Brahma Tech students through Boeing’s Engineering High School Internship Program. Chaparral Graduates: For those of you who have connections to Chaparral Middle School, you will be excited to know that Chaparral will be holding the ribbon cutting and grand opening of their new gymnasium on February 10 th . District API Celebration: The Walnut Valley Unified School District will be hosting an event on Wednesday February 2 nd to publicly recognize the success of all Walnut Valley schools. The celebration will take place in the Walnut High School Theater at 3:30 pm.
Martin Luther King Jr. Social Justice Essay Contest: Diamond Bar High Senior and CAAP scholar Gabriella Momah deserves recognition for winning the 2010 Black College Expo Scholarship. This will come in handy as she prepares for her freshman year at Stanford University. The scholarship was awarded among a plethora of candidate submittals. This award notification was followed closely by another award won by Seniors Rachel Scott and Gabriella Momah as they submitted winning essays in the Martin Luther King Jr. - Social Justice Essay Contest. SAT Bootcamp: Sat, Feb 26 & Sun, Feb 27, 9:00 am-1:00 pm Refreshments and study booklet are provided. The course will take place 2 weeks before March SAT test. Cost is $165.00 per student.
