At 11:40 am this morning, I received a phone call from the Walnut Valley Sheriff’s Department recommending a quick lockdown in order to locate and identify a student who may have been at risk of inflicting self harm. The staff responded quickly to ensure the safety of all students and staff. Once the identity and location of the student was discovered, we were able to counsel the student and clear the lockdown.

No other students were in harm’s way, but we were guided by the Sheriff to ensure the safety of the one student in question.
