Congratulations to Brahma senior Edward Delano for earning the rank of Eagle in the Boy Scouts of America Tuesday, February 28, 2023. He is a member of Troop 730 in Diamond Bar. The rank of Eagle Scout is the highest rank that can be achieved after several years of learning skills, performing service and showing leadership.
Edward's Eagle project took place at Gateway Friends Church in Diamond Bar. At the front of the church, Edward led the removal of a dead grassy area and planted a succulent garden in its place. He installed weed blocker and drip irrigation for the water-friendly, drought-tolerant, succulent plants. To water the tree in the middle, Edward installed a deep root watering system to prevent the pavement from rising from shallow roots.
Edward also replaced the mailbox, as it was not United States Postal Service approved and the wood post was not rated for subterranean usage. The new mailbox is USPS approved and is in accordance with the standard height and distance from the curb to prevent mail delivery distruptances. #brahmabuilt
