Along with the Mock Trial competition, each high school team (almost 90) can have up to 3 court room journalists. DBHS had two students compete in the courtroom journalist competition: Taylor Joe and Maia Pak.

Monday night, at the 2023 Mock Trial Awards Presentation, Maia Pak found out she won second place, out of possibly 100+ participants, in the courtroom journalist competition. Congratulations!

Maia’s Dad is Tommy Pak, a math teacher at Chaparral MS.
