Science Spotlight! DBHS teacher Teresa Hebert’s period 1A Chemistry lab investigates the reaction of crystal violet with sodium hydroxide today using a new spectrophotometer that allows students to measure the concentration of a chemical in a solution.
The school’s two-story 500 Science Building features 18 state-of-the-art chemistry, biology, and physics classrooms with collaborative learning spaces. The nearly $14.3 million modernization was completed in September 2022 and funded by voter support of Measure WV.
