Congratulations to DBHS Performing Arts Academy Advanced Music Program Pianist/Flautist, Joseph Yoo, as he will be joining the prestigious National Youth Orchestra of the United States of America (NYO-USA) this year!!!
Each summer, Carnegie Hall’s Weill Music Institute brings together the brightest young players from across the country to form in the NYO-USA, and this is a free program for all participants. Following a comprehensive audition process and a multi-week training residency with leading professional orchestra musicians, these outstanding teenage musicians embark on a tour to some of the great music capitals of the world while serving as dynamic music ambassadors. This summer, Joseph will perform and tour with the ensemble throughout the South American continent under the direction of maestro Marin Alsop and pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet.
