Thursday, May 2, 2024, Brahma senior Luke Kottke earned the rank of Eagle in the Boy Scouts of America. Congratulations! Luke is a member of Troop 1201 in Fulleton.
His Eagle Project was the organization of an event to create pet toys for the OC Animal Rescue Shelter. Over eight months, he prepared ten activity stations, that ranged from Kitt y Cat pom-poms, doggy bandanas, to small bunny chew toys. He held his service project at the Love Placentia Day of Service, where he led a team of six Scouts and four adults. They managed approximately 80 volunteers who assembled the animal toys. These handmade toys will help enhance the bonding experience between the rescued pets and their new owners.

Eagle Scouts are presented with a medal and a badge that visibly recognizes the accomplishments of the Scout. Additional recognition can be earned through Eagle Palms, awarded for completing additional tenure, leadership, and merit badge requirements.
