It’s time for another round of Chang versus Tye.
On Monday, Diamond Bar Mayor Ling-Ling Chang and former mayor and current City Council member Steve Tye will battle for tips at Chili’s during a fundraiser for Diamond Bar High School’s Interact Club.
“Since this is only the second year for Interact at DBHS, we are still trying to build the club,” said Jody Roberto, who along with Chang is one of the club's advisers.
Chang and Tye, both Rotarians, have practice: they participated in a Tip the Mayors battle last fall.
Chili’s will give 15 percent of sales for anyone who brings in a special flyer (attached to this story), and any money that Chang and Tye bring in for tips - which they will earn by serving food - will also be donated.
“The last Tip the Mayors was very fun and very successful,” Roberto said. “Our mayors provide comedy as well as service.”
The fundraiser will be held all day, from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., with Tip the Mayors from 5 to 9 p.m.
Chili’s is at 707 Grand Ave., Diamond Bar.
