Hard work and determination paid dividends as your gutty little Brahmas recaptured the Hacienda League Title by defeating Rowland Friday, April 20, 13 - 5 at Rowland. Our boys tennis now has twenty-six league championships. The only thing left to do was to beat Walnut Tuesday, April 24, at home, to remain undefeated in league play. Our team gained the momentum and control of the much anticipated cross-town match from the very beginning and never allowed Walnut to recover. The final score was DBHS 15, Walnut 3. Your Brahmas finished the regular season with an overall 16-1 record,12-0 in league and ranked in the top 10 in Southern Cal, Division II.

     League Finals begin Tuesday morning, May 1, at Walnut. First round CIF playoffs begin Wednesday, May 9. Kenny Sakata, Minsong Hsu and Steward Yang leave Wednesday, April 25, to compete in the prestigious Ojai Valley Tennis Invitational. Wish them luck!  Just a note of praise for the team. Not only do I get the benefit of coaching talented players, but as young men, they are a joy to work with.
