U.S. News & World Report Ranks DBHS As One Of The Best

Walnut Valley Unified high schools are making the grade statewide and nationally.


Diamond Bar High School is ranked 61st on the U.S. News and World Report's list of the best high schools in California, earning the gold medal award.  The school is ranked 316th in the United States, according to usnews.com.   


Diamond Bar High has an API score of 876, higher than the state average.  The rate of college readiness is 52.5 percent, above the California average.  Of the 59 percent who took the AP test, 50 percent passed.  The campus has a student-to-teacher ratio of 26 to 1.


U.S. News reviewed 21,776 high schools nationwide, with 577 in California earning a ranking.  Schools must get a gold or silver medal to be ranked.


Of those ranked in California, 97 earned gold medals, 301 silver, and 179 bronze, according to the publication’s website.
